Stepping Stones

Some of our girls of the Stepping Stones Bible Study

Lonna Threadgill leads the Stepping Stones Bible Study for our clients. The class is held at the First Baptist North Mobile on Sunday Mornings. All clients and their families are welcome. Girls are encouraged to attend the worship service as well. The class was started to help clients who don't have a church home to be introduced to church where they already know someone.

We also have male leaders that are in prayer and waiting for young men to come in for a class (for every young woman that comes into our center there is a young man that needs ministering to as well).

Visiting the Center

Children from North Mobile came by to visit the center they raised funds for during VBS and to present the check for the Earn While You Learn Program.

Vacation Bible School at North Mobile

First Baptist North Mobile held their VBS June 6 - 10. The boys and girls that attended we encouraged to bring in change that would be donated to the Women's Resource Center (as they do each year) and that if their goal was reach the VBS leaders would have a pie in the face. Well, the kids did a fantastic job and raised way more than was expected. Thank you North Mobile!

Horton Hears A Who & M56 Ministry

The Saraland Women's Resource Center presented Horton Hears a Who to the 5th and 6th graders during Vacation Bible School at First Baptist North Mobile.

The presentation goes over sanctity of human life in a child friendly manner. There were over 60 kids and they all had great questions that opened the door to talk about God's will for our lives and much more.

Baby Dedication

On Mother's Day two of our Earn While You Learn Students came forward at First Baptist North Mobile for baby dedication. These mothers have chosen to raise their babies in a Christ centered home and to give their children every opportunity to have the best possible future.
The church body in turn has pledged to help foster
the spiritual growth of these young women and their babies.

The girls also attend the "Stepping Stones" class held on Sunday mornings

at First Baptist North Mobile specifically for our clients.

The class is led by Lonna Threadgill, one of our client advocates in Saraland.

First Baptist North Mobile at Saraland Women's Resource Center

The Tuesday morning Women's Bible Study at First Baptist North Mobile collected items for the Saraland Baby Boutique for the Earn While You Learn Clients. The class is led by Ginger Marrow. Sharon Goff (one of our volunters) attends the class and delivered the items. Sharon also gave the group of women a small testimony about what we do at the Women's Resource Center.

Disciple Now Youth Group

The Disciple Now Youth Group from First Baptist Church of North Mobile came to the Saraland Women's Resource Center to help with Baby Bottle Boomarang. They had a D-Now weekend and this was mission day. They were also taught about STDs and Abortion and the negative affects of both.
