Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser for Sav-A-Life, Mobile

For the entire month of July, on Sundays and Mondays, visitors to Buffalo Wild Wings (the one in Piccadilly Square) were able to present a voucher at check out and 20% of their (pre-tax) food sales were donated to Sav-A-Life, Mobile. Thank you to all those who participated and thank you Buffalo Wild Wings!

Cottage Hill Baptist Church Here to Volunteer

A wonderful group of ladies came over from Cottage Hill Baptist Church to volunteer. They had also asked ahead of time what our EWYL program needed and they brought bags and bags of donations. Then they helped us with our new library by typing the title names and authors and helping account for all the books. Some helped by gluing the pockets into the inside of the books. Then they helped fold envelopes for our newsletters. Then they went on down to Claire's Hope for a tour. What a blessing!

Celeste Road Baptist Vacation Bible School Donates to BBB

On Sunday, July 18, Lori & Lonna visited and spoke at Celeste Road Baptist in Saraland. During Vacation Bible School the children of the church collected donations for Baby Bottle Boomerang. This donation was presented to Lori during the service. Thank you Celeste Road Baptist Vacation Bible School!!

Did You Know We Have Labor & Delivery Classes?

Did you know we have Labor & Delivery classes here at the Women's Resource Center/Sav-A-Life? We do!!! They have been going on for 10 years! Colleen and Joyce have been so faithful. This present class has one more week to go and they will be done. The next class will be in October. Then Colleen and Joyce are retiring from the Labor & Delivery Classes. If you know anyone interested, we need a faithful volunteer!! (Joyce will still be here on Fridays answering the phone for us and on Saturdays for the EWYL classes.) Saraland Center Participates in Creola "Day in the Park"

On Saturday, July 17, the Saraland Center participated in the Creola "Day in the Park". There was a Health Fair, Job & Recruiting Fair & a Community event with signing, food, blood drive, and inflatables for the kids. Lonna and Lori were able to meet many people in the community as well as local pastors. The event was sponsored by the Creola/Axis Ministerial Association. At the event the Police Department received a donation from the Ministerial Association.

Dauphin Way Baptist Church Sewing for Sav-A-Life

Dauphin Way Baptist Church "Sewing for Sav-A-Life" group came by and dropped off some beautiful baby blankets, burp pads and smocked baby clothes. We love what they bring here!!

A side story: Knollwood Church was having a huge "fabric by the roll" sale to support their missions outreach. I was there looking around and ran into Ann Murray (left in the photos below) who was looking for materials for their group. Most of the fabric was for drapes or furniture, etc. but she found a huge roll of yellow fabric and look how beautiful it turned out!!! Praise God!

Planning for the Walk for Life in October

Planning has begun for the Walk for Life to be held Sat. October 23 at 9am at Downtowner Loop. Emily is designing the T-shirt. We all took the drive to plan out the walk and what a beautiful walk that will be! (I was behind the camera!) Anyone who wants to volunteer, we need help with the planning, gathering donations for the goody bag, help with the water stations, etc.
