A Little Sprucing Up!!

Our Sage Center received a little sprucing up recently. Robert Colvin did our power washing and repainted all the doors and trim! Donna Williams, the Board Chair, donated the new plants and beautiful flowers. Baltizar planted them. And Signarama redid our sign. (We no longer do pregnancy testing at the Sage Center. That is done at the Downtowner Loop West Center and Saraland Center.) Doesn't our building look nice!!!

Marie and baby Roman

Marie and baby Roman Christop
her. What a smile he has.
We love those babies!!!

Dylan and Wesley

Chelsey & Kyle have been faithfully attending the parenting classes, learning how to be good parents and also receive diapers, clothing, etc.!! In an earlier blog the one twin son, Dylan, was alone because Wesley was still in the hospital (both were born premature). Wesley had surgery recently for 2 hernias and a situation with his eyes. All went well and he, too, is now home. We had to say goodbye to them the other day...they are moving back to Illinois where family is. Kyle graduated from University of Mobile for music education and is getting a job in a school in Illinois. We will miss them.

All About Thirty-One

Ashley Chewning hosted a Baby Shower for EWYL (will post those photos later) and also a party from the company: Thirty-One. She is donating all the porceeds to Sav-A-Life. How wonderful and what a blessing! If you'd like to participate in that and order something, send me an email: claudia@wrcmobile.org

Here's a little blurb from Ashley:
"Thirty-One is a faith-based direct sell company, we have a ton of fabulous products that can be personalized. We hold home, catalog or show on the go parties. Thirty-One gets it's name and mission statement from Proverbs 31, where the scripture talks about the virtuous woman and how she works hard for her family inside and outside of her home and how she is worthy of great reward. So, in short we try to celebrate, encourage and reward today's Proverbs 31 women!! It's an awesome company to be apart of and I have been blessed to be with them for about a year. My Thirty-One business has given me the opportunity to be my own boss and still be a stay at home mom, to be able to help support ministries that God places on my heart and to be apart of what I call a Soriety of Sisters in Christ."

This is from Cindy Monroe, the founder:
"Seven years ago I was working full time in corporate America, trying to live life with my husband and our two children, managing work, home, church, kids’ activities and still trying to find time for myself. On top of all that, I am a girl, and girls must shop, right? My busy lifestyle made it so difficult to find time to visit all of those cute little gift boutiques where the really great products are. I decided it was time for working mom’s, single women, and even grandmothers to get a chance to shop on their terms. I had a great experience with direct selling and knew of the potential behind owning your own business and prayed diligently about offering something that would help women contribute to their lives financially and the lives of countless others. It is from this passionate resolve that Thirty-One was born.

Our mission is to celebrate, encourage and reward women through offering quality products and an outstanding opportunity to become successful business owners. We have seen this mission played out across the years in the individual lives of so many women who now have their own “Thirty-One Story”.

Our products are exclusive to Thirty-One and provide style and convenience at an amazingly affordable price. From our signature purses and totes to kid's items and accents for the home, you'll find something to fit every personality and situation. We continue to develop new products built on the idea that our products must be stylish, functional, affordable and easy to give as gifts to encourage someone special.

Seven years later, our Thirty-One family has grown to more than 10,000 Consultants nationwide. With production facilities in two states, we are still seeing thousands of women find their place in this world through owning their very own Thirty-One business. Many work full time jobs and use their Thirty-One income to help pay for those extras in life like vacations, cars, and shopping sprees. Others have seen Thirty-One become a lifeline to their families in difficult economic times. Despite all the bad news we hear today, our Consultants are selling at record rates. Maybe you would consider owning your own business through Thirty-One. The doors are wide open."

Counselor Appreciation 2010

Counselor Appreciation 2010 was held at Donna Williams' beautiful home last night. It was also an evening to bless and congratulate Kristen for graduating form college and Sarah from graduating high school. Sharon Fruh of Knollwood Church spoke over all of us Proverbs 25:11 "A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver" and encouraged us to remember to be slow to speak when dealing with others and always try to say positive, encouraging words that bless. She also brought two vases of roses and started us off with a rose for each Kristen and Sarah speaking blessing over them. Each lady who attended followed suit. What a wonderful night.
